My love for photography
began several years ago when I discovered the art of
scrapbooking. I realized that photographs are a tangible
link to the past. With the births of my three sons, I was
impassioned to capture the fleeting years of childhood. This
prompted me to study professional photography, which
eventually led to the opening of René Smith Photography.
My goal in each session is to capture the essence of the
personality that lurks behind the "cheese grins". Whether it
is a playful moment of interaction between parent and child,
an elusive expression on the face of a three year old, or
the inner spirit of a teenager, I love to capture the
individual beauty that lies within us all. I enjoy the art
of photography, especially the timeless rendering of black
and white portraits.
My style is very relaxed and informal. Even people who
dislike being photographed find themselves confident and
comfortable during their session. My favorite part of a
portrait session is always presenting my clients with their
finished portraits. My goal is to always have a satisfied
client.
